Compact digitizing system
iDigit is a photo digitizing system that transforms digitising (converting a physical shape into a digital format) into a simple, streamlined process which allows you to reclaim your time and effort and focus on your productivity.
Whether the picture is captured by a camera, mobile phone or a scanner, iDigit automatically calibrates each picture individually for consistent accuracy thanks to its smart algorithms that reverse lens distortions and vectorises templates in seconds. The easy-to-use and intuitive CAD tools allow editing patterns as desired, or even creating new patterns from scratch.
Unlike the traditional one-size-fits-all approach in the digitising industry, we've made iDigit customisable in all its aspects, so that we can fine tune it around your unique requirements.
iDigit consists of three components: The software, board and camera.
Being a key component of the system, the iDigit board comes in two colour options (black and white) and custom sizes and it serves as a magnetic background that allows the software perform automatic calibration thanks to its specially designed markings.
Why businesses choose iDigit?
Whether you're investing in pattern digitizing for the first time or replacing an existing digitizing tool, here's why businesses across a wide range of industries choose iDigit.
Works with your existing CAD/CAM workflow

We know that each office, workshop and factory floor is different in terms of ceiling height, available wall or floor space, light, dust and so on. iDigit suits every working environment thanks to its flexible configuration. It can be either permanently fixed on a wall, mounted on a mobile adjustable stand, or laid on a table, floor or a CNC machine wither temporarily or permanently. The camera can be either held by hand, mounted on a tripod or on a camera boom that’s fixed on a wall or ceiling.
Work From Anywhere

iDigit gives you the flexibility to digitize patterns wherever it suits your workflow. Capture images at your customer's site, in the factory or at the office, then complete the digitization later from another workstation or even from home. Thanks to iDigit's floating licence, you can install the software on multiple computers and use a single dongle to work wherever you need, without being tied to one location.
Easy To Install And Relocate

iDigit uses the circles printed on our board to automatically correct any environmental variables such as distance, angle, light and blur. This enables the system to provide consistently accurate results with 1:1 scale. The system doesn’t need to be pre-calibrated during installation, which makes it easy to set up and relocate if needed. Most importantly, as each picture is calibrated in the background automatically, the camera doesn’t have to be fixed in relation to the board, therefore it can be used hand-held too.
Save Time & Increase Productivity

Speed is another essential criterion in digitizing. iDigit digitizes pattern outlines, notches, cut-outs and drill points in only a few seconds upon loading the picture. However, speed isn’t only limited to the initial processing. That’s where iDigit’s rich functionality, which is embedded in a simple UI comes handy. You can use these functions not only to make alterations or additions to your project and patterns such as smoothing, seam allowance, mirroring etc. but also to create patterns from scratch, even if they’re not in the picture.
High Accuracy

iDigit corrects optical distortions caused by various factors such as camera lens, angle and distance between the camera and target in order to provide millimetric correct results. Reading the camera’s optical parameters from the image, iDigit automatically makes the necessary adjustments in the background and eliminates all perturbations.
Easy To Learn And Operate

iDigit comes with rich functionality packed in a simple, intuitive UI which makes it easy to learn for any user regardless to their exposure to CAD/CAM tools. The training takes around 1 hour, after which the user is able to do some real work.
Import & Export a Wide Range of CAD Formats

iDigit can export Standard DXF, AAMA DXF, SVG, HPGL and PDF, which can be fully customized in terms of layers. It’s even possible to transfer patterns to CAD programs such as Illustrator without saving any files, simply using copy-paste. This enables the user to export only what they need, exactly in the layers they need to be, which ensures compatibility with their existing software and machinery. iDigit can export vector entities in addition to polylines, which ensures the exported patterns have extremely smooth curves. You can also import your existing designs into iDigit as DXF, SVG or PDF.
Future Proof Investment

Choose the imaging hardware that best suits your workflow. Whether you use a camera, smartphone, scanner or the optional iDigit board, your workflow isn't tied to a dedicated electronic digitizing table, making future hardware upgrades simple and cost-effective.
