Digitisation Stories Across The Globe and Industries
Carsio
Car Mats | Automotive
Carsio is a family run car mat manufacturer near Leeds, who produces over 400,000 sets of car mats annually.

For any car mat manufacturer, having an extensive database of templates is essential for increasing sales, as well as efficiency in production.

Having an iDigit XL system to digitise car mats means they can add any car mat model into their template database easily and accurately.

Being a busy manufacturer with production around the clock, space becomes as valuable as it can get due to increased demand of it in order to fit raw material, machinery, stocks and office space for staff. For this reason, they use iDigit's XL board on the floor only when digitising takes place which later is stowed away which allows the room to be used for other purposes.

As iDigit doesn't require calibration when the board is removed and returned, this process can be repeated as many times as needed effortlessly.

Having two iDigit Lite systems with 180x120 cm setup horizontally and one iDigit XL system with 360x150 cm fixed on the wall, they can digitise their standard and oversized patterns simultaneously by multiple operators without creating a bottleneck.

Fashion | Freelancing
As most of our other freelance customers have their offices setup at home, optimising available workspace is paramount. The last thing they want to do is allocating a good portion of their space for a bulky point and click digitising table.

That's where iDigit Lite comes to aid thanks to the wall-mounted magnetic board and tripod setup. The tripod can be removed and placed again without having to re-calibrate the system each time.
In order to keep the costs down, most of our freelancing clients prefer using their existing camera or mobile phone to shoot pictures for digitising.

As their clients could be using various CAD programs, the wide variety of export formats of iDigit provides them with the versatility to send the digitised patterns with compatibility ensured.

Laure de Sagazan
Fashion | Couture | Bridal

Laure de Sagazan is a Parisian made to measure wedding dress brand, whose elegant bridals are being worn by brides around the globe.

At Laure de Sagazan, the brand pays tribute to the artisanal know-how and excellence of French tailoring. Recognized as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company), all of its dresses are thoughtfully designed and crafted in the Parisian atelier—from the first pencil stroke to the final stitch.

The iDigit system seen in the picture in unusual, as it was custom made in this case. The board measures 180x140 cm to accommodate large patterns and it’s mounted on a stand, as there was no suitable wall space to fix it.
NHS Wales
Medical | Rehabilitation | Mobility

The posture and mobility service of NHS Wales at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board produces custom wheelchairs for their patients. The seating parts of each wheelchair are unique as they’re custom-made for each patient.

This requires digitisation and storage of high volume of template sets as they usually need to be reproduced after several years, sometimes up to seven years later.

That’s where iDigit’s superiority over other methods in terms of speed, as well as the ability to create a ready-to-reproduce digital archive of template sets comes handy. Saving the finished projects as iDigit Models allows the team to easily access them years later and either re-export them without any change, or make modifications if the patient’s requirements have changed.

As it’s the case with all busy manufacturers, space is too valuable to be dedicated for a single purpose of use. That’s why this iDigit XL system (240 x 150 cm) was installed on a custom-made DIY flatbed that’s hinged to the wall, so that it can be stowed against the wall when idle.

As a matter of fact, our clients in the upholstery industry have some of the most creative DIY solutions when it comes to these types of projects, thanks to their fine woodwork capabilities.
